Computer-Aided Machine Design (ES 51)
As a part of ES 51 (Computer-Aided Machine Design), students are asked to design, build, and test a remote-controlled robot to participate in the Turf Wars competition, using the material they learned in the course. After Covid-19 forced us off campus, students shifted to a digital, CAD-only design of their robots. Students were asked to pitch their robots in a "Shark Tank" inspired competition. They competed for investments from the 'Sharks' (teaching staff) and tried to prove that their robot would be the ultimate winner of the Turf Wars competition!
